Are Hackcat Pro Model and Pro Subscription the Same Thing?
Distinguish between model names, subscription tiers, and actual access rights.
Two Names Refer to Different Settings
The Hackcat Pro in the model menu refers to the model tier, used to select the model capability for handling the current task; the Pro in the account or pricing page refers to the subscription plan, which determines a set of features and usage rights. Although the names are similar, they are not the same switch.
Selecting a model does not automatically purchase a subscription for you, and having a subscription does not mean all models, environments, and extra usage are unlimitedly accessible.
Where to Check Separately
First check the account subscription, then look at the model menu for the current task to avoid inferring rights based solely on the name.
For example, the account may show a subscription to the Pro plan, but the highest model tier in the task menu is still locked. These two states may be entirely consistent: the subscription provides a set of rights, but a certain model still has separate access conditions. When judging, you should read the model's prompt and not infer based only on similar names.
- Open User Menu → Settings → Account to view the current subscription.
- Return to the task input area and open the model menu.
- Check whether the desired option is selectable and review the specific requirements shown for locked items.
How to Handle Inconsistencies
If the account shows an active subscription but the model is still locked, first check whether you are using a different account, mode, or if that tier requires extra usage. Refresh and recheck the current page prompts; do not make repeated payments to test. Subscription prices, purchase availability, and rights are based on the current pricing page and account interface.
For example, Pro and Pro+ using Max involve rules that directly count towards extra usage beyond access conditions; you cannot assume all models use the same included quota just because you have "already subscribed."
