How to Select and Verify the Desktop Version on Windows PC?
Use the x64 version listed on the official website, and check installation, login, and execution environment separately.
Confirm the Currently Provided Installation Package
The official download page currently lists the Windows 64-bit installation package. First, confirm the system architecture in the target computer's system information, then download from the Windows section; do not mistake the Linux ARM64 package for the Windows ARM version. Independent architectures or legacy system compatibility not listed cannot be inferred from the name "Windows"; if installation fails, keep the package name and system error for diagnosis.
Verify Desktop Connection Instead of Only Checking the Window
Install and open the application as prompted by the system, then log in within the app. Authentication may redirect to the browser; after completion, return to the desktop and check Settings → Remote Control for the status "Desktop app connected." While the interface is open, the local execution connection may still be establishing; wait until ready before selecting this computer in the Agent to avoid mistaking connection waiting for tool execution failure.
Windows Commands Must Match the Actual Terminal
Windows desktop execution prioritizes using available Git Bash; otherwise, it uses the system command interpreter. The terminal rules used for CLI connections may also differ. Do not assume any Windows task runs in PowerShell by default. The first task can let the Agent confirm the system, working directory, and tool presence before running specific operations. Installing the desktop program itself does not guarantee all security tools are installed.
