Which Desktop Installer Should I Download for macOS?
Understand the Universal installer and distinguish the download process for Mac and iPad.
Choose macOS Universal
The macOS option labeled Universal on the official download page supports both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. Please download from this option rather than selecting the Linux installer that also contains ARM64 in its name. The webpage recommends a version based on the current device; if downloading on a different computer, you must manually verify the target system and not rely solely on the recommended button.
Separate Confirmation for Installation and Login
After completing the system installation process, open Hackcat and initiate login from this launched application. After browser authentication completes and returns to the app, check the desktop connection in remote control. Being able to open the installer file, log into the account, and execute local tasks are three distinct stages; success in a previous stage does not guarantee the next stage is available. If you encounter system installation errors, first record the error message and the selected package name.
Do Not Treat the Mobile Webpage as a Mac Client
Even if the iPad's browser identifies similarly to a Mac, it will enter the mobile installation guide. Adding to the home screen is not equivalent to installing a macOS desktop application, nor does it establish a native command execution environment on the iPad. When you need to use tools on a Mac, you should install and keep the desktop application running on that Mac, then confirm it is selected. The code does not guarantee compatibility with all older versions of macOS.
