How to Rename a Task with an Easily Findable Name?
Name tasks by their goals or outcomes to facilitate future searching and organizing.
When Is It Worth Renaming
When a task gradually takes on a clear purpose, or when multiple tasks have similar names, you can rename it manually. It is recommended to use the goal plus the result or stage, for example, "Login Error Investigation—Pending Retest." The name should help you identify the task rather than copying the entire problem description; also avoid including unnecessary personal information or credentials in the title.
Modify in the Task Menu
Find the task in the sidebar, open the task options menu, and select "Rename." Enter the new name in the dialog box, then confirm and click "Save." Wait for the result during saving to avoid submitting repeatedly; if a failure message appears, verify your input and try again.
- Find the task you want to organize and open the options menu.
- Select "Rename" and enter a clear name.
- Click save and check if the sidebar shows the new name.
Renaming Does Not Reanalyze for You
Renaming only helps organize tasks; it does not change conclusions already written nor add new execution instructions to the task. If the goal changes, explain it separately in the conversation. Frequently viewed tasks can be pinned again; multiple related tasks can be moved into the same project to form a clearer work list. Consistently using a naming method you are familiar with, such as object plus stage, helps quickly distinguish similar tasks in the list.
