What to Do When the Prompt Model Is Temporarily Unavailable?

Distinguish between service errors, access restrictions, and issues with the current task itself.

First Identify the Type of Error

‘Temporarily unavailable,’ insufficient account quota, locked model options, and requests being rejected by the service are not the same situation. First, read the full prompt; upgrading your plan does not guarantee resolving temporary service errors, and repeatedly retrying will not remove access conditions.

If part of the original task has already executed some tools, keep those results to avoid rerunning all tool steps again.

Choose the Minimal Recovery Action

For brief service issues, you can retry the unfinished part later; if other models are available, you can switch before the next request.

For time-sensitive information, save public sources and questions to verify later; once service resumes, continue verification directly. When temporarily switching to another model, still specify the same version and limitations; do not assume it knows background information you did not provide.

  1. Check the valid models shown in the input area and your current account.
  2. Check if there are simultaneous network, quota, or connection errors.
  3. Preserve materials, wait, and retry later or use unlocked options.
  4. Request to continue from verified progress and only proceed with remaining work.

Do Not Treat Service Errors as Conclusions

A tool or model not completing does not mean the goal has no issues, nor that the material content is empty. You can ask to list completed and incomplete check scopes so that subsequent recovery has a clear starting point. If errors persist, record the model name, mode, time, and error message; do not seek solutions by sharing authentication information.
