How to Log Out from the Current Device?
End the current session from the user menu or security settings.
When to Use Log Out
You can log out from the current device when finishing work on a shared computer, preparing to switch accounts, or no longer wanting the current browser to stay logged in. Logging out differs from deleting an account: it ends the current session, does not replace task cleanup, and does not automatically revoke any public share links already created. Before proceeding, make sure there is no unsaved input.
Two Existing Ways to Log Out
The sidebar user menu provides a “Log Out” option. You can also go to Settings → Security and click Log Out in the “Log Out from This Device” section. After completing, check if the page returns to the logged-out state; if the original account still shows and error messages appear, do not assume the session has ended just because you clicked the option.
- Open the sidebar user menu and select Log Out.
- Or go to Settings → Security → Log Out from This Device.
- Wait for the page to reload and confirm that you need to log in again to continue account operations.
Check Shared Devices After Logging Out
If the login window still shows the remembered account, you can use the 'Forget Account' prompt separately. Files downloaded to the local machine also belong to the device’s materials; logging out of the website will not clean them up for you. If you need to log out from other devices as well, use “Log Out from All Devices”; logging out from the current device does not automatically perform that step. Before leaving a shared device, confirm that you have successfully logged out.
