What is Extra Usage and How to Enable or Disable It?
Additional balance used beyond the included quota, requiring separate configuration.
Separate Management of Extra Usage and Included Quota
Extra Usage is used to continue usage when the included quota in your plan is insufficient. It has its own independent toggle, balance, and monthly spending limit; it is not an unlimited automatic charge after purchasing a paid plan. The management entry points differ between individual paid plans and team recharge pools.
When the online paid feature is not yet available, the enable or purchase options may be unavailable. The instructions below describe operations after the feature becomes available and do not imply that recharging is currently possible.
Another use case is Max access for Pro/Pro+ plans: after meeting conditions, you can select Max, and such requests will be directly counted as Extra Usage, even if the included quota in your plan is not yet exhausted.
Enabling Requires Available Balance and Conditions
Individual users can view Extra Usage under Settings → Extra Usage. Before enabling, payment method and account status requirements must be met; turning on the toggle itself does not guarantee sufficient balance nor does it override your set monthly spending limit.
When the balance is insufficient, Extra Usage is disabled, or the monthly limit is reached, even if you have an active paid subscription, you may not be able to continue tasks beyond the included quota. You should first check the error reason before deciding to recharge or wait for quota recovery.
Understanding the Scope When Disabling
- On this page, check the Extra Usage toggle, balance, monthly limit, and auto-reload status.
- After disabling Extra Usage, continued usage beyond the included quota will be restricted.
- If you also do not want your balance to be automatically replenished in the future, additionally verify that Auto-reload is turned off; disabling usage does not equal a refund or subscription cancellation.
