How to Confirm Which Computer the Agent Is Using When Multiple Computers Are Connected?
Verify the environment name before sending, and confirm with the actual path and output after execution.
Connected Does Not Mean Selected
The account can show available local connections, but the current task may have selected another machine or the cloud. The Agent uses the currently selected environment and will not automatically switch just because the file is on your computer.
The free Agent requires selecting a local environment and cannot use a connected computer to provide access rights for a cloud option.
Confirm Location with Small Checks
Check the environment selector in the input area and verify the host name; if uncertain, first check the working directory and related files before making any changes.
For example, if two machines have projects with the same name, first verify the version in the project or a file you know before starting operations. Do not assume the environment is correct based solely on the working directory name; this step reduces the risk of executing on the wrong machine when modifications are needed.
- Select the environment containing the target files and required tools.
- Confirm that the connection is online.
- Have the Agent report the current working location and whether the target files exist.
- Proceed with the actual task after verification.
What to Note After Switching Environments
Files, installed tools, and running sessions differ between environments. After switching, paths should be re-verified; do not assume reports generated by old tasks exist on the new machine. When transferring materials, save and explicitly provide them first; if old commands are still running, handle their status to avoid executing the same task twice on both sides.
