How to Determine if a Task Is Still Running When Replies or the Computer Panel Stop Updating?
First restore real-time display and check the original task to avoid mistaking output interruption for task completion.
Separate Display Status from Execution Status
If chat text or the computer panel stops refreshing, it may be due to a real-time connection interruption, or the task might be waiting, finished, or failed. Viewing only the last line of output cannot confirm if the command is still running. First check for offline status, approval waiting, or explicit tool errors, and keep the original chat; do not immediately start the same task again to "verify if it is stuck" by repeating the operation.
Prefer Using the Restore Entry on the Current Page
When the computer panel shows "Live updates disconnected," you can click "Reconnect" to restore real-time updates; if the input area is offline, first restore the network and then reconnect. After restoring, check the latest results of the original task and the connection to the target computer. If prompted that the current run has changed, the interface may have reconnected to the currently running task rather than canceling another already started task, so subsequent actions should be based on the latest status.
Check Results Before Performing Impactful Operations
If the task involves writing files, installing, or accessing external systems, verify the actual results before deciding to retry, clarifying which parts are completed and which still need execution. Use stop to terminate when necessary and pay attention to failure messages; closing the browser should not be considered a successful stop. For troubleshooting, record the occurrence time, last visible stage, execution environment, and sanitized errors to avoid leaking credentials or private targets contained in the full output.
